Guide biccies – 32 million munched last year
New Zealand’s most popular biscuits are a bite away as sales of the iconic Guide biscuits are set to begin around the country in March.
In 2014, Kiwis munched their way through more than 32 million biscuits – wow!
When Guide Biscuits first appeared in 1957, Brownies and Guides sold them door-to-door to raise money and, now 58 years later, you can still buy them door to door but lots of other ways as well. Guide Biscuits are truly a part of our kiwi history.
Girls, leaders and parents will be out and about selling these tempting morsels so be in quick to buy.
Guide biscuits are available in Original, Choc and Mini Choc varieties to appeal to the whole family. The biscuits sell for $3.50 a packet.
Please support us to do what we have been doing for more than 107 years. And if you want to find out where your daughter’s local Pippin, Brownie, Guide or Ranger unit is located, telephone GirlGuiding NZ on 0800 22 22 92 or visit www.girlguidingnz.org.nz.
