Rebuilding Christchurch One Polygon at a Time

Rebuilding Christchurch One Polygon at a Time

30 hours of non-stop gaming streamed live across the internet. It sounds crazy but that is exactly what Kiwi-Cast, a group of gamers and YouTubers is planning to do in April. So why would anyone in their right mind attempt such a feat? For a good cause of course!

Ever since Christchurch was rocked by the devastating Earthquakes the region has bravely soldiered on, slowly rebuilding the iconic South Island city. Kiwi-Cast is chipping in through the power of polygons by live-streaming video-games with donations from going directly to Rebuild Christchurch, a charitable organisation that has been instrumental in assisting Cantabrians rebuild their homes and lives.

Last year the team got behind Youthline and raised around $800 with a 24 hours stream. This year the stream will last 30 hours with the aim of raising more money than last year. During the stream viewers can expect to see members from the group jump in front of the cameras and play their favourite games. Members from Kiwi-Cast will be taking on the crew from Aspect of Gaming in some good old fashioned eSports which will be a much watch!

Viewers won’t be left out either with Deon Swiggs, Director of Rebuild Christchurch dialling in on Skype ready to answer questions and participate in any dares or challenges thrown his way. Best of all there are a bunch of prizes up for grabs.

The livestream will be available from the Kiwi-Cast Website and will start at 11am on 11 April and run through to 6pm on 12 April. Donors don’t need to wait until the start of the event with pre-stream donations open now. Donations have already reached $100.
