Jeremy Haxton – choreographer & performer
You Betta Work is a new piece created for Embody2. A mix of physical theatre and contemporary dance, the piece highlights the monotony of living in the rat race. It plays on pedestrian movement and pop culture and comes of whimsical while still critiquing the 9 to 5 mold.
Juliet Shelley – choreographer & performer
Culture and Nature - two pieces
SOIS is a
piece that is created both in the studio and live in
performance.
Content includes: sound, sight, sensation
and the many different configurations of them in any given
moment; choreography is sourced from the energy patterns of
the nine star ki - an ancient Chinese tool for divination
and astrology; the last poem of Pablo Neruda;
And So is
a solo piece created originally to perform at the Dotline
Festival in Tuscany in 2011.
Music is
by Nic McGowan and Rhian Sheehan.

Keely Turuwhenua – singer & songwriter
In a world where it sometimes hard
to heard, Keely Turuwhenua is slowly making waves in the
Wellington music scene. From humble beginnings, this
singer/songwriter started busking in the subway of the
Wellington Railway Station and now performs in some of
Wellington’s finest bars. Her unique mash-up of guitar
playing, lyrics, beautiful vocals and casual banter will
keep you wanting more.
Chasing Light is a sample of songs
that explores the idea of searching for that individual
expression that is yours and sharing that with the world;
the idea of creating and releasing.
