KK Null / Mischancerie 7" lathe cut split
End of the Alphabet Records are very happy to announce our first lathe cut release through Peter King Records - a 7" split between Japanese noise master, KK Null (Zeni Geva) and New Zealand noisenik, Mischancerie (FANZ).
KK Null hardly needs an introduction - active since the 1980s in noise, hardcore and experimental music, he has racked up an incredible number of collaborations with the likes of Merzbow, Makoto Kawabata, Earth, John Zorn, Jim O'Rourke and many others, as well as a stunning catalogue of releases, both solo and with his bands (most notably Zeni Geva with Tatsuya Yoshida). He is a powerful force in the Japanese scene and a tireless tourer and performer - currently on tour with Makoto Kawabata who will also be releasing a 7" split with End of the Alphabet later this year.
Mischancerie is a new young Turk of the Wellington, New Zealand noise scene. Well know locally for his excoriating live sets, Mischancerie tears into new weird realms of techno beats through piles of noisy analogue pedals and tapes. Also a member of FANZ (who released a tape with us last year) and a number of other groups in Wellington, Mischancerie is a hardworking young artist to be watched.
Though neither heard the other's track before the release, nor saw the artwork, these harsh beats, punching distortions and cut up artwork match and augment each other just beautifully.
