Rough Church storm US college radio with Grandeur

Rough Church storm US college radio with Grandeur

So far it has been a very busy year for our LA friends Rough Church. In the words of front man Greg Franco:

“We finally released our new one "Friction/Reflection" in April: www.roughchurch.com Whew! It took us almost two years to get it done, but it was somewhat interrupted by the NZ "46 Missed Calls tour" in April and May of last year.

One year ago we recorded with Robert Scott and David Kilgour of The Clean. We spent one day (May 5th, 2014) at Chick's Hotel with Tom Bell recording us. This record, "Butch Loves Pedals", will get a release later this year, and we hope to return for a tour to New Zealand to promote it.

From our new album "Friction/Reflection", we have our video by Gus Black for "Grandeur" which came out in March, and another one coming soon for "Road Less Traveled" by Chris Carlone. This one is so beautiful and excellent, it stars a Chris's daughter after a snowstorm, on a bright sunny abandoned Coney Island.

Steven P. Hanft just directed our "Black Thumb" video that stars a Lady ghost driving a black 1968 Mustang, and Fredo Ortiz in a toxic suit running away from her as he is her prey. Very funny!

Also last month besides our record release at TAIX, we did a live set on KPFK with Mark Torres for "Travel Tips for Aztlan" where we premiered some new songs that will be on our next studio album. It was so great to have the entire crew, Dante, Tracy, Jose, Fredo, Kaitlin, Carey and I. The big 7 piece band that I dream to tour with someday on big stages!"

Rough Church's single 'Grandeur' is being played on more than 50 college radio stations across the US; and also on New Zealand's very own 95bFM. Have a listen to the song here.
