Treble Cone Snow Update
Treble Cone Snow Update

Treble Cone (Wanaka, New Zealand) has received 65cm of new snow in the last 24 hours at the top of the Home Basin (1760m), 38cm at the Base Building (1260m), and even more in the Saddle Basin where Ski Patrol are currently completing control work prior to having access to assess and report the new snow and snow depths.
The new Treble Cone 2015 seasonal staff are on the mountain today to continue training within their departments, for many it’s the first time at Treble Cone, and they have enjoyed a chairlift ride to experience the spectacular views and take in (but not ski) the new snow. General Manager Jackie van der Voort believes this year’s staff appear to be one of the friendliest, most helpful and enthusiastic crews of recent years.
Snowmaking commenced at Treble Cone a couple of weeks ago with a focus on the lower mountain key trails of Easy Rider, Main Street, and The Platter.
Grooming is currently underway to pack down the new snow on key trails and prepare the mountain in preparation for Treble Cone’s opening next Thursday.
Treble Cone was awarded ‘New Zealand’s Best Ski Resort’ at the World Ski Awards in both 2013, and again in 2014.
