New Zealand’s New National Creativity Qualification
New Zealand’s New National Creativity
Qualification
New Zealand and NZQA have taken a major
step towards our future. For the first time NZQA now has a
set of qualifications in creativity, a field in its own
right.
Jonathan Milne, managing director of The Learning Connexion, New Zealand’s only school for creativity and art says, “This change is much bigger news than people realise. Under the new Creativity Qualification with its key focus on the field of creativity, students will be able to combine areas of study from diverse fields. We can expect some new and exciting innovations to emerge that will unlock economic and social benefits for New Zealanders.”
This new qualification is a positive outcome from TRoQ, NZQA’s Targeted Review of Qualifications. Jonathan Milne added, “For The Learning Connexion, the Creative Arts sector’s three year review has been strenuous and we are delighted with the outcome.”
