Big Thrills, Big Gadgets and Big Fun at Big Boys Toys 2015

Big Boys Toys is set to take Auckland by storm, with a huge weekend of entertainment and stunning gadgets to excite and inspire, at ASB Showgrounds, 30th October to 1st November.

With the latest products from the Automotive, Marine, Lifestyle and Electronics industries all together in one place along with top-class entertainment, stunts and demonstrations, there’s something for everyone and there’s nothing else like it in New Zealand.

Big Boys Toys is known for showcasing the best vehicles and this year is no exception. The Driven Hall presents New Zealand’s biggest collection of the latest supercars all in one place, including the stunning 2016 Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 SV, Bond Edition Aston Martin DB9 GT, Jaguar F-Type, Porsche 918 Spyder, plus the bleeding-edge technology of the Honda MotoGP factory race bike ridden by current World Champion Marc Marquez. Stunning!

The New Zealand Motorcycle Show returns to Big Boys Toys for 2015, with newest models from the Japanese Big Four, plus the American V-twin power of the latest BEARS-style bikes from Harley-Davidson, Indian and Victory marques. This will be your only chance to see all the new models, all in one place.

If you’re keen to get ‘back to the future’, see the amazing Hendo Hoverboard in action – one of only eleven anywhere in the world and to be demonstrated for the first time in New Zealand at Big Boys Toys. There’s even got a DeLorean Time Machine to boot.

Out in The Milwaukee Action Arena, it is all thrills, for all three days, with Freestyle Motocross rider Kiwi Nick Franklin in action - one of the world’s Top Twenty riders! Or see BMX champ Paul Langlands and 10 of the best in the country making magic on two wheels without an engine to assist.

From two wheels to four, Drive Rush stunt drivers are back, demonstrating extreme driving and parallel parking, plus unveiling of the Forward Flipping Car - the first of its kind in New Zealand.

Big Boys Toys is becoming renowned for the competitions that take place across the weekend and The Battle of the Fittest, an event that sees 150 of the country’s top athletes tough it out to find New Zealand’s top cross-fit athlete, has been moved to a new venue with improved viewing and grandstand seating.

Two other fiercely-fought competitions are the Big Lift, challenging Auckland’s top fork-lift drivers to compete to find who’s the best fork-lift operator, and the CCNZ Auckland Regional Excavator Operator Championships - watch them dig deep for this sought-after title!

A new feature, The Shed has a huge workshop full of the best machine, power and hand tools, including virtual welding and the incredible finger-saving Carbatec electronic flesh-sensing safety table-saw that stops dead when it touches flesh! You’ve got to see it to believe it.

All this and the latest in lifestyle and consumer electronics, with advanced electronics and HiFi from New Zealand’s famous Perreaux amplifiers and timber speakers from Theophany. Along with those essential electronics from Harvey Norman there’s another essential for the Modern Man: Williams and Warn brewing equipment, for the IPA innovators and the stout stalwarts.

And if you can’t fit all that in to just one visit, Big Boy’s Toys runs for three full days, Friday 30th October through to Sunday 1st November, ASB Showgrounds, Auckland!
