The Monthly Mystery - an Excursion into the Extraordinary

The Monthly Mystery Promises an Excursion into the Extraordinary

WELLINGTON , 5 November 2015 - If life seems to have lost its mystery, the first installment of The Monthly Mystery could help. Featuring magic, mind-reading, mirth and mayhem, The Monthly Mystery is a new periodic entry into Wellington’s thriving live entertainment scene. The first show is 12 November 2015 at 7 pm, at the Fringe Bar.

Produced by Mountebank Entertainments Limited, The Monthly Mystery is the only recurrent show in New Zealand featuring local, national and international talent with a common trait - the performance of magic, mind-reading and other mystery arts.

“These days everyone seems to want an explanation for everything,” says Mountebank Entertainments’ Mike Kay. “I don’t necessarily agree with that. There are many unanswered questions in the universe, and mystery performance helps highlight them. Sometimes you need to understand you might never get an answer, and that’s okay."

The performers for the November Monthly Mystery :

The comedy magic of Anton van Helden;

New Zealand Close-up Magic Champion (2012) Nopera Whitley;

Mago Argentino Lucas Monge;

Comedy magic duo Kade Nightingale & Jeremy Rolston (New Zealand Parlour Magic Champion, 2015);

Hosted by the mysterious Mike Kay

Kay hopes The Monthly Mystery helps keep the joy of mystery alive. “Not everything is a puzzle to be solved.
