Further Details Of Remembering Jonah Released
Remembering Jonah, the official memorial service for Jonah Lomu, will celebrate publically his life and contribution to world rugby and the New Zealand community at Eden Park at 1pm on Monday 30 November.
New Zealand broadcaster, John Campbell, will MC the commemoration which will feature videos of Jonah’s achievements as well as people and music that reflect Jonah’s life. It will include performances from New Zealand music artists Lizzie Marvelly, ADEAZE and ARDIJAH.
World Rugby Chairman Bernard Lapasset will travel to New Zealand to attend, along with representatives from other international rugby unions, present and former All Blacks, and well-known faces from across New Zealand’s sporting community.
Remembering Jonah at Eden Park is open to all members of the public. It is requested that people are seated by no later than 12.45pm.
Following the conclusion of the ceremony, Jonah’s casket will be taken from Eden Park to his home in Epsom, via Balmoral Road.
