A Big Thank You From Us On Volunteer Day
New
Zealanders are renowned for their generosity and in 2015
alone thousands of you gave up your time to volunteer for
Arthritis New Zealand.
This year you once again helped us in a variety of invaluable ways including collecting during our annual appeal in September, assisting with the water and land based classes which we run throughout the country and being involved with seminars for our clients - not to mention those of you who came to help volunteer in our offices and our amazing Governing Body and Regional Support Group members who give up so much of their time.
Without your help we would not be able to give the support we do to over 578,000 New Zealanders who live everyday with arthritis.
“It is important to acknowledge International Volunteer Day publically and say thank you to everybody in New Zealand who gives their time whether it is to Arthritis New Zealand or another worthy cause. Because without people like you, organisations like ours would not be able to operate.” said Chief Executive Sandra Kirby.
International Volunteer Day is held around the
world every year on 5th December.
