ANZ Dream Big returns for 2016

ANZ Dream Big returns for 2016 to help the next generation realise their sporting dreams

ANZ’s Dream Big campaign returns in 2016 to once again help community sports clubs, initiatives and players achieve their dreams and promote the development of New Zealand’s young sporting talent.

“At ANZ, we’re passionate about supporting New Zealanders to achieve – from community to international level,” says Sue McGregor, ANZ Head of Sponsorship and Corporate Marketing. “By giving cricket players, teams, clubs and fans around New Zealand the chance to dream big – and then to make some of their dreams a reality – we aim to inspire and support them to achieve their goals.”

To kick off its 7th year of supporting cricket in New Zealand, ANZ and the BLACKCAPS have teamed up to deliver dreams to some of New Zealand’s most enthusiastic cricketers.

The first of ANZ’s cricket Dream Deliveries went to Suburbs New Lynn Cricket Club who its dream of nurturing and inspiring its young cricketers fulfilled. Video content to follow 6am, Wednesday 2nd February.

A group of promising young players from the club’s Youth Development Squad were surprised by the BLACKCAPS over the course of the afternoon and all ended up playing a game of backyard cricket with their heroes. Batsman, Martin Guptill, who came up from Suburbs as a junior member, was especially proud to be part of the ANZ Dream Big surprise.

“It was a great to go back to my old club with ANZ and play a couple of games with some of their promising young players. They’re talented kids and I’m grateful for the opportunity to give back to a club that gave me so much,” says Guptill.
