SHAKEY GRAVES
Rollin’ into Wellington for a special one-off show
SHAKEY GRAVES is the wild and mesmerizing, gentleman from Austin, Texas.
After a sold-out show in Auckland last year, Shakey Graves will return to New Zealand and treat Wellington audiences to his raw, unearthly howl and foot stompin’ good times when he plays Bodega on Wednesday, March 23.
Tickets go on sale at 10am this Monday, February 15.
My Live Nation members can be among the first to secure tickets during the pre-sale beginning at midday on Friday, February 12. For complete tour and ticketing details, visit: www.livenation.co.nz.
The on-stage persona of Alejandro Rose-Garcia, Shakey Graves began as a private creative outlet. His folky, esoteric bedroom recordings quickly developed a cult following, and he soon began performing live as a one-man band, with a knack for storytelling and an enigmatic stage presence that immediately draws listeners into his strange narrative world.
With the release of his latest album And The War Came on Dualtone Records / Cooking Vinyl, Shakey Graves has become something much bigger. Now joined on stage by a backing band, Shakey Graves is selling out major venues around America, continuing as a regular on the international festival circuit including performances at Austin City Limits, Bonnaroo, SXSW, an upcoming performance at the inaugural Auckland City Limits, he took home the Americana Music Association's "Emerging Artist of the Year" award in 2015.
This is Wellington’s chance to witness firsthand his live performance and understand the obsessive devotion Shakey Graves has inspired in the hearts of millions.
