Comprised of ten New Zealand and two Australian songwriters, the participants were hand-picked by curator and renowned ex-pat Welsh producer Greg Haver.

"Choosing the final participants from such a large and impressive list of songwriters was never going to be easy” says Haver. “Ultimately I looked for the best balance between established and newer writers – and for those people who would benefit most from working with our international guests.”

Key supporter of the event NZ On Air believes that great songs are the cornerstone of popular music.

“This is a great opportunity for some of our best songwriters”, says NZ On Air Music Manager, Brendan Smyth. “In music, as we all know, it starts with a great song. Great songs fuel popular music culture, feed the broadcast media and connect with audiences and that’s what NZ On Air is excited about.”

APRA AMCOS is excited to be a part of a song-writing initiative that has garnered such enthusiasm and support from across the New Zealand music industry.

“The writers Greg has chosen to collaborate with our international guests represent the incredible talent and potential we have here in this country” says APRA’s Manager of NZ Member Services Victoria Kelly. “The whole music industry has come together to provide this opportunity for these writers to hone their skills and work with three of the best songwriters in the world. We can’t wait to hear what they create.”

The visiting songwriters are: MoZella (Madonna, Miley Cirus, One Direction, Ellie Goulding, Rihanna), Sacha Skarbeck (Miley Cyrus, Adele, James Blunt, Lana Del Rey, Backstreet Boys) andLindy Robbins (Jason Derulo, David Guetta, Selena Gomez, 5 Seconds of Summer, Westlife).
