Cabaret Madman Tomás Ford Hits Wellington!

Cabaret Madman Tomás Ford Hits Wellington!

Award winning Australian alt-cabaret madman Tomás Ford hits Wellington at Gryphon Theatre from February 22-26 at 8pm for the first time for shows of his Craptacular, a chaotically fun hour that features his radical workings of the worst songs of all time.

Can he flip terrible tracks into kickass party jams? And will his street cred survive? This hilarious failed spectacular of electronic beats, smooth-ish crooning and inept attempts at cabaret charisma will be one of the most memorable shows of the fringe. Featuring songs by 2 Unlimited, bloody Adele, Savage Garden, Iggy Azalia, Captain And Tenniele and all the other horrible music that happened to be playing on repeat at the supermarket while he was writing the show. Craptacular comes fresh from a Fringe World season in Perth, where it has picked up a nomination for the Arts Editor Award and five stars in major newspaper The West Australian.

Tomás is also bringing his smash hit DJ show Crap Music Rave Party to Bodega on Saturday Feb 27. The rules for that show are simple: request any song you like, so long as it's crap. It's sold out at fringe festivals around the world, including two years running at the Edinburgh Fringe.

Tickets for both shows are moving quickly, so book now via Fringe NZ at http://www.fringe.co.nz .
"This is a thrilling performance that only Tomás Ford could deliver. Guaranteed to enthrall, horrify, and delight, it is not to be missed." - The West Australian
“Beautiful Madness” - Time Out London
“Euphoric electro-cabaret” - The Scotsman
"What sort of person creates a show as deranged as this? But then again, what kind of person am I to be enjoying it?" - ThreeWeeks
