Bollywood Comes to Life in the Village!
The Mount Eden Village Business Association
presents:
Mt Eden Fete – Bollywood
Styles
Saturday 2nd April 2016.
Mt Eden Village comes alive with the spirit of Bollywood for the annual Village Fete market day on Saturday April 2 from 11am – 3pm. Mt Eden will buzz with stalls, music and entertainment inspired by the extraordinary, energetic, ecstatic film culture of India's Mumbai (Bombay).
Every year over 50 local businesses get tangled in this late summer fling - the much loved Mt. Eden Village Fete - putting on a party with the finest food, drink and discounted goods available up and down the main street. This year's offering will serve up Indian colour and flavour, focussed around the vibrant dance and music of Bollywood.
Street entertainment will include Indian music and dance, traditional sitar performance and a pop-up mini version of Mumbai's famous Regal Cinema screening classic Bollywood light and sound.
This year's fete promises to deliver the same energy, excitement and light-hearted fun as past event's ‘Cheese-rolling Frenchwomen’, ‘Show-Girls’, ‘Italian Pizza-Gurus’ and ‘English Parlour Tea Merchant’ and the host of larger than life street characters that have become synonymous with the Mt Eden Fete festivities.
