Artist’s talk and screening
Mike Parr
Artist’s talk and screening
Friday 20
May, 6pm
City Gallery Wellington
Mike Parr is one of our region’s most important artists. Over a career spanning more than 40 years he has made performances, drawings, paintings, prints, and text works that offer an extended and, at times, gruelling investigation of the self, as a physical body, a thinking subject, and a political and social being. Join the artist to hear about his work and to encounter his latest project included in the current 2016 Biennale of Sydney, The future is already here—it's just not evenly distributed.
Mike Parr is one of the artists in the exhibition Inhabiting Space now on at the Adam Art Gallery Te Pātaka Toi at Victoria University of Wellington. He is brought to Wellington by Adam Art Gallery with support from the Chartwell Trust.
