PUBLIC DOMAIN Art Fair’16

PUBLIC DOMAIN Art Fair’16

PUBLIC DOMAIN Art Fair ’16 is a project initiated by Sarah Mohawk and developed in conjunction with DEMO co-director Hikalu Clarke. PDAF16 invited recent and current artist-run spaces from Auckland and Hamilton to put forward 1-3 representatives to present an independent art fair at DEMO.

Art spaces contributing to the PUBLIC DOMAIN Art Fair’16 are Canape Canopy, Mirage, NZ on TV, FUZZYVIBES, Skinroom, DEMO, Casbah, Rockies, Pilot, HOTDATE and Window.

DEMO is driven to create opportunities for critical conversation through its exhibitions and programming. PDAF16 provides the wider art community of Auckland an opportunity to take a good look at each of the participating artist-run spaces’ contextual and conceptual interests through its representative artists and projects.

PUBLlC DOMAlN is an artist-run initiative open for all artists to join, to unite and to open source new ideas about exhibiting artwork.
