The Kills Auckland Show Sold Out + Wellington Selling Fast!

Following overwhelming demand for their first New Zealand visit in seven years, Frontier Touring can confirm that the highly anticipated return by rock & roll duo The Kills to Auckland is now officially sold out – with tickets to theirThursday 28 July show at the Powerstation all snapped up.

Fans should get in quick to purchase tickets to the band’s Wellington performance, taking place at the Shed 6 in Wellington on Friday 29 July.

Jamie Hince (guitar/vox) and Alison Mosshart (vox/guitar) return to New Zealand this winter in support of their fifth album Ash & Ice (out now via Domino Recording Co). Singles unveiled so far from Ash & Ice include lead single ‘Doing It To Death’, the snarling ‘Heart Of A Dog’ and latest offering‘Siberian Nights’.

The Kills bristle with tension, anxiety, sex, and unstudied cool on tracks such as ‘No Wow’, ‘U R A Fever’, ‘Satellite’and ‘Future Starts Slow’. Currently performing sold-out shows in the USA as part of their 2016 major world tour – which included slaying it at the world’s hottest festival, Coachella, their visit down under promises to be one to remember.

‘Whether coiled in a white guitar cord during the churning windup of “Kissy Kissy” or blasting full force through the fresh track “Doing It To Death,” Alison Mosshart and her partner in starkness, Jamie Hince, remained relentless, reminding pit onlookers like Katy Perry and Jared Leto what a torrential force they can be.’ – Consequence Of Sound, Coachella review

‘The Kills were a volcanic presence, kicking at the warm desert air, as guitarist Jamie Hince built crushing riffs equal parts ancient blues and Velvet Underground. Singer Alison Mosshart barked and purred for “No Wow”, and prowled the stage.’
– Rolling Stone, Coachella review

With Auckland sold out and Wellington hot on its tail, get in early to avoid disappointment!
