Ted, Rita and your favourite rogues will be back in 2017
NZ On Air is very pleased to announced that it has supported a third season of drama series Westside for TV3.
The Outrageous Fortune prequel takes us back to Ted and Rita West’s younger days, giving viewers an entertaining romp through local events in the 1980’s.
In season 3, it’s 1982 – the year of the catchphrase Think Big. Producers South Pacific Pictures promise to continue to weave historical events into the rich narrative around safe-cracking Ted, enterprising wife Rita and rebellious son Wolf.
“The Wests and New Zealand in the 80’s provide such a rich bed for a drama it would be difficult to resist seeing where the writers can take us next. We are thrilled to support this well-made, quintessential kiwi drama again, which along with the previous decisions announced from this round will maintain a range of local drama in primetime,” said NZ On Air Chief Executive Jane Wrightson.
