UB40 Announceds Summer Tour - New Venues

UB40 ANNOUNCES RED RED WINE
VINEYARD TOUR FOR SUMMER 2017

TWO NEW VENUES + QUEENSTOWN

UB40, featuring the original members Ali Campbell, Astro and Mickey Virtue, will return to New Zealand this summer with the enormously successful RED RED WINE VINEYARD TOUR that sold out everywhere in 2016.

This summer they will be performing in two new venues: Martinborough’s Luna Estate on 2 January and at Villa Maria Estate in Blenheim on 7 January, as well as returning to Waitiri Creek at Gibbston, near Queenstown on 5 January.

Fans are urged to act without delay as these venues are expected to sell out. Over 35,000 people enjoyed their popular brand of reggae in January with some shows selling out in hours.

Tickets will go on sale to Jacman Entertainment and Eventfinda subscribers 9am Monday, 29 August. General public sale commences 9am Wednesday, 31 August via www.eventfinda.co.nz or call 0800 BUY TIX (289 849)

“The Red Red Wine Vineyard tour was a huge hit last summer" says promoter Jackie Sanders, "the band is thrilled to bring their 2 hour, hit-packed show to the Martinborough and Marlborough regions for the first time, as well as return to Queenstown.”

The original line-up of UB40 with Ali, Astro and Mickey enjoyed huge success over a period of 30 years from 1979 to 2008, with #1 albums, multiple gold and platinum selling albums, Grammy nominations, 4 worldwide #1 hits and over 70 million in sales. Now reunited again, they continue to take their smooth yet rootsy blend around the world and their live performances never fail to uplift the audience.

UB40’s chart hits include Red Red Wine, Cherry Oh Baby, Kingston Town, (I Can’t Help) Falling In Love With You, I Got You Babe, One in Ten, Rat in Mi Kitchen, If It Happens Again, Homely Girl…and the list goes on!
