Daylight saving starts this weekend

New Zealand daylight saving begins this Sunday, 25 September 2016, when clocks go forward an hour at 2.00 amto become 3.00 am. The extra hour of daylight in the evenings will run till Sunday 2 April 2017, when clocks goback an hour at 3.00 am to 2.00 am.

People may find it convenient to advance their clocks by one hour before going to bed on Saturday 24 September.
