Yealands take on the Adventure Race World Championships

Team Yealands Family Wines take on the Adventure Race World Championships!

Team Yealands Family Wines (Team Yealands), who won the GodZone adventure race in April of this year are now preparing to make their mark on the Adventure Race World Championships in Australia.

97 teams from 19 countries are taking part in this grueling multi-day, non-stop race, which includes 8 teams from New Zealand. The 620km course through the New South Whales region of Shoalhaven consists of kayaking & packrafting, trekking, caving and mountain biking.

Down broke today on day two of the race at transition 4 in the small coastal town of Kioloa. While the Kangaroo’s usually have free run this time of morning, the teams are coming through the area thick and fast. Team Seagate are in the lead with Adventure Medical Kits in second place. Team Yealands moved through the transition into third place. They were feeling sleepy during the 95k mountain bike over Florence Head last night, but are now re-fueled and feeling good.

The team are now on foot in a steady jog towards the next coasteering section which will take them through the Murramamarang National Park, south to Batemans Bay.
