Solo 41 - New Exhibition
Solo 41 opens Saturday 10 December at the Academy Galleries showcasing significant bodies of works by the following artists;
Michael Browne- painter
Keil Cas - painter and potter
Suzanne Herschell - painter
Kevin Hislop - painter
Tony Keupfer - glass artist
Mark David Manning - painter
Trevor Pye - painter
Brett Rangitaawa - sculptor
Mehrdad Tahan - painter
and finally Selwyn Vercoe – painter & Sarah Riley-Curtis – video artist.
Solo features a diverse range of works and subjects. You’ll see Mehrdad Tahan’s calming cloudscapes, Michael Browne’s vibrant, rich abstracts, Tony Kuepfer’s delicate and light glasswork, and iconic Kiwi imagery in Kevin Hislop’s powerful landscapes.
There’s also Brett Rangitaawa’s strong sculptures, Trevor Pye’s vibrant still life, and Mark David Manning’s soft, whimsical paintings.
Finally Selwyn Vercoe’s crisp, dramatic work shows a very different elegant interpretation of Maori art juxtaposed with Sarah Riley-Curtis’s astral orientated video.

The exhibition, which runs until 23
January 2017, is open daily from 10 am at the Academy
