Punakaiki Petrel heads celebrate!
Make sure you book your 2017 diaries for The Return of the Westland Petrel Festival annual weekend of conservation and entertainment in Punakaiki (April 28 – 30, 2017).
Held to coincide with these unique birds returning to their West Coast nesting sites, the Petrel Festival combines Kiwi values of looking after and respecting our environment, with a fun event for families and music lovers. The Petrel Festival includes live music, tree plantings and a community market, activities for kids, and some presentations about the birds.
