APO congratulates Board Chairman on new appointment
Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra (APO) wishes to congratulate APO Board Chairman Geraint Martin on his appointment as Chief Executive of Te Papa Tongarewa – Museum of New Zealand.
APO Chief Executive Barbara Glaser says the appointment is welcomed by the APO. “Geraint has been an integral part of the APO’s growth since his appointment to the Board in 2009, and has long been a passionate supporter of arts and culture in New Zealand,” Ms Glaser says. “We are delighted to see that his commitment and expertise at a governance level in the cultural sector is now aligned with his professional management career.”
Mr Martin will remain the Chairman of the APO Board, and Ms Glaser says that the appointment of Mr Martin as Chief Executive of Te Papa will no doubt raise the profile and awareness of the APO in Wellington.
