International Buddhist Teacher to Give Talk on Meditation & Mindfulness in Auckland 19th April at 7:30pm
“How to Transform Your Life” with Gen Kelsang Rabten
Problems like stress, anxiety and depression are increasing year by year. Meditation and mindfulness have proven to be effective methods to maintain a healthy mind.
To address this, internationally renowned Buddhist monk Gen Kelsang Rabten will be visiting Auckland next week. He will give a public talk entitled “How to Transform Your Life”, promoting the practices of meditation and mindfulness.
During the talk, Gen Kelsang Rabten will give advice on how we can all apply the practice of mindfulness in our daily lives, to help us deal with challenges, overcome problems, and maintain a calm, clear and positive attitude, regardless of external circumstances.
Everyone, no matter their age, background or religion, can experience happiness and inner peace through the practices of meditation and mindfulness.
This special event will be held on Wednesday 19th April at 7:30pm, at the Raye Freedman Arts Centre in Newmarket. Tickets are $22.50 and can be booked online at www.happinessfromwithin.org or iTicket.co.nz. Everyone is welcome to attend.
About Gen Kelsang Rabten:
Gen Kelsang Rabten, visiting from Hong Kong, is a very accomplished teacher of modern Buddhism who has trained under the guidance of the great master and internationally renowned author, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, for over 25 years. Gen Rabten is able to present the ancient teachings of Buddhism in a very eloquent, accessible and humorous way. He is skilful at bringing out the best in us, helping us develop confidence in our own potential and in creating a better world.
