Roy Phillips in Concert-the Voice of The Peddlers
Roy Phillips in Concert-the Voice of The Peddlers
45 million records sold, vocalist, keyboardist and composer, Roy Phillips first came to international attention as the voice of The Peddlers in the 60s and 70s. His trademark is his distinctive voice, smooth yet gravelly and edgy at the same time.
Roy is not only a sensitive and accomplished composer, but also a tasteful, unique and inventive arranger of many of the old standards we all know and love.
Roy’s repertoire ranges takes us on a journey through his interpretation of standards such as On a Clear Day (featured as a backing track on the award winning series, Breaking Bad) Misty, Stormy Weather, Bye-Bye Love, Summertime and of course, his highly acclaimed and much-loved, Girlie.
Roy compositions, Birth and Empty Club Blues, close the evening and showcase his superb keyboarding and vocal skills.
Roy’s evening creates a warm and intimate theatre atmosphere as he shares (sometimes irreverently) with the audience some of the amusing anecdotes and stories from his long and varied career as an international recording artist and performer.
Not to be missed, Roy Phillips in Concert is an entertaining, intimate and rewarding experience that his audience can look back on with pleasure as an evening well spent.
