NZSA/Hachette Mentorship Program Opens Today
Writers! An opportunity to be mentored by a publisher
The NZSA / Hachette Mentorship Program opens today
The New Zealand Society of
Authors (PEN NZ Inc), in association with Hachette Australia
and New Zealand, are once again offering the opportunity for
one writer to work on a new draft of their completed
manuscript under the joint mentorship of Hachette Australia
and New Zealand.
Now in its third year, this initiative is for writers of fiction, non-fiction or young adult fiction who have progressed a manuscript beyond first draft, but require the objective view of an experienced publisher to provide constructive critiquing for that manuscript.
The mentorship will be personalised for the selected candidate, and will run through 2018.
The selected manuscript may be considered by Hachette for publication within 6 months of delivery of a new draft of the manuscript, but publication is not guaranteed.
Terms and conditions and application form are available now on authors.org.nz
This program is proudly presented by Hachette Australia and New Zealand in partnership with The New Zealand Society of Authors (PEN NZ Inc.)
Open for applications from 9 October until midnight 4 November.
