Rotorua Filmmaker, Polly Green, has been nominated for the prestigious World Paddle Awards-Best Media Professional Award. Green has been selected along with six other finalists out of hundreds of Top Media Professionals from around the world. The public and the WPA Academy will vote determining the winner in each of the seven categories. The awards spotlight the World’s Best in the Paddle sports Industry, and will be held in Silkeborg Denmark on 24 February 2018. Green’s film GAME was filmed on location on Rotorua’s Kaituna River, the Hawea River on the South Island, Gisborne, and in Plattling, Germany.
Green had this to say about her recent nomination, “I am truly honoured and blown away to have been nominated for The World Paddle Awards. It feels amazing to be recognised for my work and achievements in paddle sports, and is an accomplishment to make it to the final round of nominees. I am extremely grateful.”
Green started her production company, Flair Films in 2007 after ten years competing as a professional whitewater kayaker. Her humanitarian focus shines through in all of her award winning films. Flair Films aims to make a positive difference in the world by telling inspiring stories about people and our beautiful planet.
