Glorious Announces Nelson Mandela Partnership

After successfully selling out Wimbledon’s Centenary Collection last week, Auckland-based start-up Glorious Digital has announced a new collaboration with the Nelson Mandela Foundation.

Chief Executive, Tim Harper, says Glorious Digital will work closely with the Foundation’s archival team on a project that will span a decade and include extraordinary digital masterpiece NFTs honouring Mandela’s life and inspiration.

“To be entrusted with Mandela’s personal archive, his legacy, and his messages of togetherness, optimism, leadership, equality, freedom and hope, amongst others, is an honour and a privilege. And it seems auspicious to announce this long-term partnership on 18 July, Nelson Mandela International Day and Madiba’s birthday.”

This announcement is the latest example of how Glorious Digital is rapidly becoming the world’s leading agency and marketplace for authentic and globally-recognised NFT projects. Harper says Glorious was chosen by the Foundation because the digital agency is proven to work with the world’s most well-established and protected reputations.

“The artworks presented by Glorious are prized and respected by collectors, and our partners know we treat their brands and reputations with utmost respect. The Nelson Mandela Foundation wanted to ensure Mandela’s incredible legacy would be handled with care, which we understand completely.”

Harper says collectors should expect a multi-layered collaboration that draws from Mandela’s personal papers, records and artefacts.

The funds raised from the project will go towards furthering the impact and reach of the Nelson Mandela Foundation.
