5 Minutes Of Fame On The Road - On Whakaata Māori

Your five minutes of fame could be just down the road!

Auditions are taking place for the second series of 5 Minutes of Fame, the Whakaata Māori entertainment show featuring the beautiful voices of Aotearoa.

Hopeful singers should come along to auditions being held in Gisborne, Hastings and Lower Hutt.

Kaiwaiata (singers) should be prepared to sing without backing tracks, either solo or playing their own guitar, on camera, in front of a panel.

There are four competition categories:

1. Male and Female youth under 16 (at time of entry)

2. Male 16+

3. Female 16+

4. Male and Female 60+

Last year, Perēri King, from Ahuriri (Napier) took out the top prize.
