Kolose Promoted For Remainder Of ANZ Premiership Season
Go Media Stars mid-courter Tori Kolose has been elevated from training squad member to the contracted squad for the remainder of the ANZ Premiership season.
Kolose replaces the injured Greer Sinclair and primarily covers the wing attack and centre positions and has featured in the Stars' first two games of the season against the Mystics and Tactix.
Stars coach Temepara Bailey believes it's a well deserved opportunity for Kolose.
"She was one of the best trainers in the team during pre-season. She's very loyal and committed and as a mum she has great balance outside of the game. She's fit, fast and has the flair that's been missing from our game and she's been in the Comets space and Stars in previous years so has the connections with the rest of the team." Bailey said.
Bailey previously coached Kolose when she was with the Comets and has noticed significant growth in her game.
"I think she's just doing the things she's always done a lot more consistently and she's still like a sponge wanting to learn. We know she's quick and fast and her change of angles is great, now she just needs to back her speed more."
Kolose will take to the court tomorrow when the Stars host the Pulse at Pulman Arena
