Karangahape Road Struts Its Stuff With Fam: Fashion Edition
Karangahape Road is turning heads this winter with FAM: Fashion Edition on Saturday 30 August, 4–9pm. For one night only, the street transforms into a celebration of style, sound, and self-expression, with a runway down Mercury Lane, open DJ decks (change to local DJs), live music, markets, SMALL RAVE’s double-denim takeover with open decks, and award-winning comedian Johanna Cosgrove turning the rainbow crossing into a runway.

Highlights across the programme also include the underground glamour of Te Wiki Āhua o Aotearoa’s multiple runway shows, Celestial Markets with Aotearoa-made goods, and a night of music and solidarity at Voices for Gaza at Whammy Bar.
“On K’ Road we don’t follow fashion, we make our own runway, and we know how to throw a party,” says Ella, Creative Producer at the Karangahape Road Business Association.
FAM is more
than a festival – it’s a celebration of community,
creativity, and connection in the heart of Tāmaki Makaurau.
There’s something for everyone, from fashionistas to art
lovers and musos, and everyone in
between.
