Fourth Annual HUTT SOUNDS Lineup Revealed
Get ready for a sensational summer of music — the fourth annual HUTT SOUNDS is locked in for Sunday 8 March 2026 at Brewtown in Upper Hutt, Wellington, and this year’s lineup is stacked with international hitmakers.
Hutt Sounds superb lineup features England’s Tony Hadley (ex-Spandau Ballet), super-cool New Yorkers’ Fun Lovin’ Criminals, renowned UK singer Lloyd Cole, down-under legends Mi-Sex and Kiwi hitmakers When The Cat’s Away and Jan Hellriegel.
A limited number of first release tickets are immediately on sale to coincide with the lineup announcement, from www.huttsounds.co.nz.
With a mix of international and local legends, Hutt Sounds 2026 – proudly presented by Plus1 - promises an unforgettable day of classic hits, good vibes, delicious brews and cuisine, and the friendliest crowd in the capital.
2026 HUTT SOUNDS LINEUP
TONY HADLEY (UK, ex-Spandau Ballet)
The unmistakable voice behind 80s anthems like True, Gold, To Cut A Long Story Short and Only When You Leave, Tony Hadley brings his powerful vocals and timeless charm to Hutt Sounds for the first time. Known for his charisma and enduring stage presence, Hadley will deliver a full set of Spandau Ballet classics alongside selections from his acclaimed solo catalogue. *Auckland fans will also have a chance to see him perform a special headline show at the Powerstation on Friday 6 March — see Plus1.co.nz for details.
FUN LOVIN' CRIMINALS (USA)
New York’s coolest export, Fun Lovin' Criminals fuse funk, hip-hop, blues and rock into a sound that’s as slick as it is unmistakable. Best known for 90s hits like Scooby Snacks, Loco, Love Unlimited and The Fun Lovin' Criminal, the band’s live shows are famous for their swagger, wit, and groove-laden energy. Expect a genre-bending set that will keep the Brewtown crowd moving from start to finish.
WHEN THE CAT’S AWAY (NZ)
Aotearoa’s favourite girl group reunites for a very special appearance at Hutt Sounds 2026. Boasting powerhouse vocals and enduring popularity, When The Cat’s Away lit up the charts with Melting Pot, Asian Paradise, Free Ride and more, and became synonymous with joyous, feel-good performances. This all-star supergroup – featuring Annie Crummer, Debbie Harwood, Kim Willoughby and Dianne Swann - will bring a mix of nostalgia, harmony, and soul to the Brewtown stage.
MI-SEX (NZ/AUS)
Synth-pop pioneers Mi-Sex helped define the sound of the late 70s and early 80s with groundbreaking tracks like Computer Games, People and Blue Day. Their high-energy performances and sharp lyrical edge made them a favourite across Australasia. Reinvigorated and recharged, our Hutt Sounds’ favourite from 2023 return to deliver a powerful dose of new wave nostalgia.
LLOYD COLE (UK)
A songwriter’s songwriter, Lloyd Cole is revered for his intelligent lyrics and melodic songwriting. Rising to fame with The Commotions in the 80s with great songs like Perfect Skin, Rattlesnakes, Lost Weekend, Brand New Friend - Cole's solo work has built a cult following around the world. Sit back and soak in Lloyd Cole - his Hutt Sounds set will be a masterclass in subtlety, storytelling, and classic Brit pop.
JAN HELLRIEGEL (NZ)
Look forward to being wooed by Jan Hellriegel’s wealth of wonderful songs – stretching from her debut solo album in 1992 which included chart-toppers The Way I Feel and It’s My Sin, through to acclaimed follow up LPs Tremble, All Grown Up, Lost Songs and Sportsman of the Year. Hellriegel has shared bills with David Byrne, The Cure, Jeff Buckley, to name a few – and now we’re lucky to welcome her to Hutt Sounds.
