Abby Christo Drops Empowering New Single ‘Boy Bye’

Rising country-pop artist Abby Christo is back with her latest single, “Boy Bye” — a bold and infectious anthem that turns heartbreak into empowerment. Out now, the track blends catchy hooks, clever wordplay, and fierce energy, solidifying Christo’s reputation as one of the most exciting voices bridging Nashville and New Zealand.
First capturing attention as an X-Factor NZ finalist with country duo Mae Valley, Abby Christo has since carved out an impressive solo career. Since her solo debut in 2019, Abby Christo has amassed over 6 million streams, opened for country giants Keith Urban, Kelsea Ballerini, and Carrie Underwood, and performed on the CMC Rocks main stage alongside the likes of Morgan Wallen, Zac Brown Band, and Ashley McBryde.
Now based in Nashville, Christo has played festivals such as CMA Fest 2025, and has been writing and recording with some of the industry’s most in-demand names, including Jerry Flowers (Keith Urban, Sam Hunt) and Benjy Davis (Cody Johnson’s The Painter), while recording a forthcoming record with producer Brandon Day (Jason Aldean, Brantley Gilbert). With plans to tour both Nashville and New Zealand Christo continues to build momentum on both sides of the Pacific.
Described as the ultimate glow-up anthem, “Boy Bye” is a song for anyone tired of mixed signals and red flags. It’s cheeky, catchy, and unapologetically empowering — a reminder that love should be chosen, not chased.
“I wrote this song about a friend who was dating a guy who wasn’t treating her right. Christo explains. “I said to her one day, ‘that man wouldn’t know what love was if it hit him in the eye.’ It’s a girl-power anthem about not putting up with the bare minimum. It’s not about heartbreak — it’s about waking up, realizing your worth, and walking away with your head high. Sometimes the closure you need is just saying, ‘Boy bye.’”
