NZ Gymnastics Community Descends On Auckland For The XP Gymnastics Nationals

The entire New Zealand gymnastics community is set to converge on Auckland this week as the 2025 Xtreme Productivity Gymnastics Nationals kick off tomorrow, Tuesday 23 September, running through to Saturday 27 September at The Trusts Arena.

This pinnacle event brings together the country’s best of the best to crown national champions across five gymnastics codes – aerobics, men’s artistic, women’s artistic, rhythmic, and trampoline – with more than 950 athletes, plus coaches, judges, and supporters making Auckland the beating heart of gymnastics for five action-packed days.

For many athletes, Nationals is about more than just medals. Artistic gymnasts will be looking to post strong scores as part of the qualification process for the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, adding extra intensity to their performances.

The highlight for spectators will be the senior sessions, held Thursday and Saturday afternoons, featuring New Zealand’s top international athletes. These sessions will showcase world-class routines across all five codes – an opportunity to see live performances you would normally only see on the world stage.

Men’s and women’s artistic: Commonwealth Games qualification is on the line, with athletes aiming for big scores. Fans can watch double-Olympian Misha Koudinov competing alongside the largest senior artistic field in years.

Rhythmic: Havana Hopman, 2024 NZ Champion and fresh from the 2025 World Championships, will headline the rhythmic competition with her signature style and artistry that has helped to cement New Zealand’s place on the rhythmic world stage.

Aerobics: The trans-Tasman rivalry heats up with NZ vs Australia international heats on Thursday and finals on Saturday – high-energy routines that always get the crowd clapping along.

Trampoline: This year’s event features all trampoline disciplines including tumbling and double mini trampoline, where fans can see Bronwyn Dibb, the 2022 World Champion. Mixed synchronised trampoline will also make a debut, with male and female pairs competing together. World Championships athletes Rachel Schmidt and James Dougal will take the floor as one of the first-ever mixed pairs.

Tickets are available now through iTICKET, with a special family pass for $60 (2 adults + 2 children) to attend the senior sessions. Half-day, full-day, and event passes are also available.
