Announcing Delaney Davidson As Music Director Of The 2025 APRA Silver Scroll Awards

APRA AMCOS Aotearoa are thrilled to announce the Music Director of the 2025 APRA Silver Scroll Awards | Kaitito Kaiaka is singular singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, arts laureate, and producer/svengali, Delaney Davidson.

An Ōtautahi luminary, Delaney will be responsible for all performances and covers throughout the 2025 APRA Silver Scroll Awards | Kaitito Kaiaka ceremony on October 29, with his musical vision giving shape and distinctive spirit to the night’s celebrations.
Delaney’s performance biography spans three decades of dark arthouse offerings at home and abroad, captivating audiences from underground European venues to Christchurch parklands, adept flipping from bawdy barroom standards to on-the-night improvised collaborations.
Working frequently with others, Delaney’s artistic alliances include projects with Marlon Williams, Tami Neilson, Harry Lyon, Anika Moa, Karl Sölve Steven, Shayne Carter, Barry Saunders, Tame Iti, Reb Fountain, and Troy Kingi.
Last year alone saw Davidson release his tenth studio album, Out Of My Head, co-produced by Mark Perkins, as well as filming a suitably Cantabrian Gothic cameo in hit underground Aotearoa horror film, The Weed Eaters. A true restless artisan, we are thrilled Delaney has brought his many hats and many skills to the music of the 2025 Silver Scroll finalists.
