I.Lead, YES Disability, Permobil, And Eden Park To Host Record Attempt For Longest Line Of Wheelchairs
I.Lead, YES Disability, and Permobil have today announced their plans to host a record attempt at Eden Park, New Zealand’s national stadium for the Longest Line of Moving Wheelchairs on the 3rd of December 2025.
This event will aim to bring 600 wheelchairs to Eden Park Stadium in Auckland, where the longest ever line of moving wheelchairs will be created. To beat the existing record, all participants must form a continuous line, with each person positioned directly behind the other.
Everyone is encouraged to participate in this record attempt – even non-wheelchair users can come along and use one of the empty wheelchairs which will be provided.
Deliberately aligned with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, this event will celebrate resilience, solidarity, and the strength of community. This year’s theme for the International Day of Persons with Disabilities is Fostering disability inclusive societies for advancing social progress. I.Lead believes this event will be the perfect opportunity to foster an inclusive community event, therefore advancing disability awareness and social progress in Aotearoa.
Tickets to attend will be available via Eventbrite. Entry will be $5, which includes free entry for Support Persons. We invite Press to attend this event and document this World Record attempt.
