Plan A Dream Kimberley Holiday, Boab Metals Ord Valley Muster 15 - 24 May 2026

The Boab Metals Ord Valley Muster celebrates 25 incredible years in 2026, marking a quarter century of music, culture and connection in one of the world’s most remarkable landscapes.

From 15 to 24 May, Kununurra bursts into life with ten days of celebration, filled with music, art, laughter and adventure against the unforgettable backdrop of the East Kimberley, Western Australia.

The festival opens with the vibrant Horizon Power Party in the Park, a free evening filled with live music and community spirit. The week continues with uniquely Kimberley experiences, from the breathtaking Colours of Country, an evening of art, performance and storytelling, to the adrenaline and dust of the Muster Rodeo, where the north’s best riders put their skills to the test in a true outback spectacle.

Visitors can immerse themselves in culture through Waringarri Aboriginal Arts, joining textile workshops or experiencing the evocative Corroboree Under the Stars, where dance, song and firelight share stories passed down through generations.

And for those drawn to the land itself, adventures like Stories, Stars and Serenity, Eco-noeing Ultimate Day Trip, Muster Afloat or the Bush Botanicals Women’s 4WD Overnight Journey offer the chance to slow down, explore off the beaten track, and experience the Kimberley in all its raw, unfiltered beauty.

It all leads to the festival’s spectacular finale, the Kimberley Moon Experience on Saturday 23 May. Held on the banks of the Ord River, this open-air concert has become one of Western Australia’s most iconic events, featuring past performances from Jessica Mauboy, Jimmy Barnes, Birds of Tokyo, Amy Shark and Kate Ceberano. The 2026 line-up promises to be just as unforgettable.

Within the Moon, the Kimberley Fine Diamonds Dinner offers a truly elevated experience, an elegant black-tie celebration beneath the stars where guests enjoy multi-course dining, premium wines and the same world-class entertainment that lights up the main stage. The Bishop’s Transport Muster Bar is an exclusive 18+ area, and for families, General Admission is where festivalgoers can bring their picnic blanket and esky.

"The Muster captures everything the Kimberley stands for: community, creativity, and that sense of freedom you can only feel here," said Ord Valley Events Chairperson, Sophie Cooke.

"It’s where the outback meets the arts and the desert meets the river, ten days that capture the heart of the Kimberley."

The Muster is a chance to slow down, breathe deeply and soak up the magic of the Kimberley. Where else can you begin your day beneath a cascading waterfall and end it dancing under a canopy of stars.

Accommodation in Kununurra fills quickly, so visitors are encouraged to book early. The town offers everything from riverside resorts and boutique hotels to self-contained apartments and caravan parks, and is serviced daily by Airnorth and Virgin Australia flights.

Tickets for the Kimberley Moon Experience go on sale at 12 noon, Friday, 28 November 2025, with the full artist line-up to be announced in late January.

Run by Ord Valley Events Inc., a passionate volunteer board, the Muster continues to showcase the very best of the East Kimberley, its people, landscapes, creativity and community spirit.

The WA Government proudly supports the event through Tourism WA’s Regional Events Program, funded by Royalties for Regions.
