bar italia - UK Post-Punk Darlings Perform This Weekend, With A Venue Change In Wellington!
Strange News and Banished Music have just announced this Sunday’s bar italia show at Meow will now be happening at Meow Nui, with all previous tickets valid for the new venue.

Here this weekend to showcase their electrifying new album 'Some Like It Hot', UK post-punk darlings bar italia have been leaving a path of glorious destruction around the world this year, punctuating their never-ending world tour with a pair of truly unmissable shows in Auckland and Wellington.
This Saturday 13th of December, the band will take the stage at Auckland’s glorious Hollywood Avondale for an all-ages show, and now playing Meow Nui in Wellington on Sunday 14th December.
The London based band, built around the core of Nina Cristante, Jezmi Tarik Fehmi, and Sam Fenton, have rounded out their live show to a five-piece, and are heading our way to bring to life a record that Rolling Stone described as “even cockier, steamier, more insistent — one of the year’s kickiest indie-rock thrillers”.
Support at both shows comes from the enigmatic and seldom seen Ngahere Wafer. Celebrated for his ambient, distorted production, and raw cloud rap style vocals, Ngahere draws influence from sources as varied as Soulja Boy, Tim Hecker, Interpol, and Clams Casino.
