TODAY Show is one of the most-watched morning programmes in the US, and its seasonal reading recommendations reach millions of viewers. Being featured places Enni’s work alongside globally recognised titles and marks a significant milestone for an independently published author with roots in both New Zealand and Finland.

“It’s incredibly affirming to see a story built with care, emotion, and human touch resonate at this level,” says Enni. “In a time when content can be generated instantly, readers still respond to authenticity.”

Based between New Zealand and Finland, Enni’s creative work blends storytelling, illustration, and visual design into cohesive story worlds. Her books are known for their illustrated covers and carefully crafted visual identity, elements that play an increasingly important role in how books are discovered and shared online.

The recognition also reflects a broader trend: while AI tools are rapidly entering the creative industries, audiences continue to reward originality, craft, and personal voice.

The visual branding and illustration for the book were created through Yummy Book Covers, a New Zealand–based studio specialising in illustrated book covers and visual storytelling for authors.

“This recognition reinforces what we see every day,” says the studio. “Readers still connect most strongly with work that feels considered, personal, and real.”

For New Zealand’s creative sector, the feature offers a reminder that local artists can reach global audiences without losing their identity, and that thoughtful design and storytelling remain powerful differentiators.
