Debut Album From Lemon Myrtle Out This Friday

LEMON MYRTLE' DEBUT ALBUM 'The Hard Work of Staying Soft' - OUT FRI 16 JAN
'The Hard Work of Staying Soft' is the debut album from West Australian (Cowaramup-based) WAM Song of the Year award-winning artist Lemon Myrtle.
Being birthed into the world at the start of a new (and already tenuous-looking) year, Lemon's tender, yet powerful offering has been some years in the making, but couldn't have come at a better time as it invites us to see the light streaming in through the many cracks opening up in our shared realities.
From trying to hold multiple truths in a fractious time, to body positivity and reflections of radical self-love and healing, 'The Hard Work of Staying Soft' captures the epitome of what Lemon Myrtle's work is about in her evanescent musical world: weaving stories and songs that bring us closer to ourselves and ultimately, each other.
Produced by south-west based, ARIA chart-topping producer James Newhouse (John Butler, The Waifs), 'The Hard Work of Staying Soft' is at times remeniscent of Laura Marling meets José Gonzales meets RY X.
Lemon Myrtle will be appearing with her full band lineup at WA's Nannup Music Festival from Feb 27th to March 2nd.
