Coleridge Downs To Serve Farm-To-Table Flavour At The New Zealand Open
The New Zealand Open presented by Millbrook Resort is proud to announce a new partnership with Coleridge Downs, one of New Zealand’s leading farms, celebrated for its sustainable farming practices, commitment to community, and world-class protein.
Nestled in the heart of the South Island, Coleridge Downs are long-term stewards of the land, known for balancing tradition and innovation in their approach to responsible land management. As foreign investors who are deeply committed to doing good, the team behind Coleridge Downs continues to reinvest in the people, animals, and environment that make New Zealand farming so special.
A cornerstone of their operation is the Coleridge Downs Cadet Programme, which develops and inspires the next generation of New Zealand’s farming leaders. As part of the partnership, these Cadets will attend the New Zealand Open, helping deliver a genuine farm-to-table experience by preparing and serving premium Coleridge Downs beef and lamb throughout tournament week.
Having the Cadets involved with the New Zealand Open will offer them a very different experience from their day-to-day life on the farm — providing exposure to a world-class sporting event and a diverse range of people and experiences. In turn, their presence will bring a touch of authenticity and “farmer soul” to the tournament atmosphere.
“We’re delighted to welcome Coleridge Downs to the New Zealand Open family,” said Michael Goldstein, Partnership Manager for the New Zealand Open.
“Their commitment to quality, sustainability, and the development of young people through their Cadet Programme aligns beautifully with the values of our tournament. We’re excited to have them showcase a true taste of New Zealand at our event.”
Sumner Erdman from Coleridge Downs added: “Partnering with the New Zealand Open is a great opportunity for us to share the story behind what we do — from our people to our produce.
Our Cadets work incredibly hard to maintain the highest standards on the farm, and it’s exciting for them to experience something new while representing our values on one of New Zealand’s biggest sporting stages.”
This partnership brings together the legacy and excellence of both the New Zealand Open and New Zealand’s farming community — celebrating quality, sustainability, and the people who help shape the land.
The 105th New Zealand Open will be held at Millbrook Resort in Queenstown from 26 February to 1 March 2026. For more information, visit nzopen.com.
