Petit ChouX Brings French Intimacy To NZ Fringe Festival 2026
French-born, Aotearoa-based songwriter Petit ChouX will perform at the New Zealand Fringe Festival 2026 on 20 February at 7:30pm, upstairs at Vogelmorn Bowling Club. This special Fringe set features a duo performance with violinist Ana Henderson, blending voice, guitar and strings into a gentle, immersive soundscape. Singing in French, English and Spanish, Petit ChouX’s music sits at the crossroads of tenderness and emotional depth.
Her debut EP Coule was praised by Muzic.NZ for its evocative songwriting, with reviewer Danica Bryant noting that Petit ChouX “possesses a voice that could lull a child to sleep, or a sailor to their death.” The duo format brings that atmosphere to life on stage, with Henderson’s violin adding texture and warmth to songs that explore vulnerability and quiet strength.
Set in the intimate upstairs room at Vogelmorn, this Fringe performance is one for attentive listeners, a chance to slow down, lean in, and be carried by sound.
