Police Brutality Unacceptable
“Completely unacceptable,“ said Auckland University Students’ Association President Kane Stanford in reaction to the Police’s handling of the yesterday’s student protest against Work and Income New Zealand.
Mr Stanford said he was concerned over photos, which he had seen of the protest which clearly show police officers using excessive force on the protest.
“In a free country like New Zealand, I find it disgusting that students exercising their civil rights were treated in such a manner,” said Mr Stanford.
“I hope the officers responsible are bought to justice,” concluded Mr Stanford.
