Tertiary Education Appointments
The appointment of Dr Andy West and Associate Professor Kaye Turner to run the Tertiary Education Commission means that the hard work can now begin.
“We’re pleased that the waiting is over and that the Minister has appointed two very capable and respected people to run the Tertiary Education Commission,” said John Blakey, Chair of the Industry Training Federation (ITF).
“Andy West brings real enthusiasm, vision, and commitment to his work and his appointment as Chair is a good one,” said Mr Blakey
“One risk that will need careful managing is the risk that NZQA will be destabilised by this decision. NZQA is still rebuilding and still needs strong leadership,” he said.
