TEC Announces Dates For Release Of Its Performance- Based Research Fund (PBRF) Report
The Tertiary Education Commission’s Performance-Based Research Fund report is being sent on CD to participating tertiary education organisations (TEOs) today (Tuesday 20 April) and they should receive them tomorrow (Wednesday 21 April).
The participating TEOs will receive the password which allows them to access the results on the CD on Thursday (April 22).
The material is strictly confidential to the participating TEOs and embargoed until the public release of the report, scheduled for Wednesday 28 April.
Further information regarding the public release of the report will be made available within the next few days to media.
The rewritten report contains no reference to an international comparison of New Zealand universities with British universities made by the TEC. A consultation process to obtain feedback about the international comparison is currently being considered by the TEC.
The Performance-Based Research Fund report is a comprehensive assessment of the quality of academic research in New Zealand’s tertiary education system.
