Mayoral Candidates front up to students
The Auckland University Students Association is holding a Mayoral forum at midday tomorrow in the student union quad.
“The ballots come out on this weekend and its important that the candidates answer student questions before they vote” said AUSA National Affairs officer Conor Roberts.
Christine Fletcher, Dick Hubbard and John Banks are all attending, to front up in an open question and answer forum for students.
Bruce Hucker, withdrawn mayoral candidate and University of Auckland lecturer will be speaking also.
“It took us a while to convince John Banks to come after the students ‘egged’ him last time.” AUSA President Kate Sutton said.
“The other candidates are really open to the forum and seem keen to hear what students have to say.” The Students Association represents over 20,000 students many of whom live in the Auckland City area.
