Donna Awatere Huata and Wi Huata sent their daughters to state-integrated, not private, schools in the Hawkes Bay, as is regularly incorrectly stated by print reporters.
Why practically 100% state-funded schools are permitted by Government to charge such exceptionally high fees is a matter for another story, but the public should be aware that the only private/independent schools in the Hawkes Bay are Hereworth School in Havelock North and Hohepa Home School in Napier, said Ms Quigley.
